1. Project Discussion & Design Evaluation
1–2 Working Days
At the initial stage, our product development team communicates closely with clients to fully understand the design concept, target market, price positioning, and quantity requirements.
This stage includes:
- Style structure analysis (stitch type, gauge, silhouette)
- Yarn and material suggestions (wool, cashmere, cotton, blends, functional yarns, etc.)
- Technical feasibility evaluation (jacquard, cable knit, intarsia, embroidery, printing, washing finishes, etc.)
- Preliminary cost and lead time estimation
We help transform design ideas into executable knitwear production plans and prepare a complete Tech Pack, including:
- Flat sketches
- Size chart with tolerances
- Knit construction details
- Workmanship and trim requirements
- Quality standards
2. Yarn, Fabrics & Trims Sourcing
2–3 Working Days
For knitwear, yarn selection is one of the most critical steps. We focus on:
- Yarn composition confirmation (Wool / Cashmere / Cotton / Mohair / Alpaca, etc.)
- Yarn count, ply, hand feel, and shrinkage testing
- Color selection (shade cards or lab dip matching)
- Color fastness and sustainability compliance
Trims preparation includes:
- Buttons, zippers, labels, care labels, and hangtags
- Special accessories such as leather patches, embroidery badges, and woven labels
Supported services:
- Custom-spun yarn
- Custom-dyed colors
- Special finishing for improved hand feel and performance
3. Knit Sampling & Pattern Programming
3–5 Working Days
Unlike woven garments, knitwear sampling requires machine programming before production.
This stage includes:
- Gauge confirmation (3G / 5G / 7G / 12G, etc.)
- Computerized knitting program development
- Stitch density, size control, and elasticity adjustment
Process includes:
- Knitting test swatches
- Confirming weight, hand feel, and stitch structure
- Program parameter adjustments
- Knitting the full sample garment
After knitting, the sample goes through:
- Hand linking and sewing
- Mending and finishing
- Washing and pre-shrinking
- Blocking and steaming
This ensures stable dimensions, clean appearance, and proper garment structure.
4. Sample Fitting & Technical Adjustment
1–2 Working Days
Our pattern makers and technical team inspect the sample thoroughly, focusing on:
- Size accuracy and proportions
- Sleeve length, shoulder width, body length, and neckline dimensions
- Elasticity and recovery
- Wearing comfort and mobility
If adjustments are required:
- Knitting programs are revised
- Size parameters are corrected
- Construction details are optimized
5. Sample QC Inspection
1 Working Day
Each sample undergoes strict quality control, including:
- Visual inspection (pilling, dropped stitches, holes, stains)
- Measurement checking
- Color consistency
- Seam and linking strength
- Post-wash dimensional stability
We also provide:
- High-resolution photos
- 360-degree product videos
- Measurement reports
for client confirmation.
6. Client Approval & Sample Shipment
Once the sample is approved:
- The sample is sealed as the Approved Sample
- It becomes the production standard for bulk manufacturing
- International courier shipment is arranged
If revisions are required:
- A second sampling process is initiated
- All changes are documented and fully traceable
